Join Teachers United as we talk about where we've been, where we are, and where we will go next. It's time for our annual network meeting to get a check in on last year's goal and set new goals for the coming year. Be sure to come with ideas in mind about pathways for exploration and what we should be doing with the growing library of research we have read and published.
This is a closed meeting. If you haven't been to a TU event, but want to see what we are about, please reach out to us.
The Network Meeting is more structured than other events. Well-behaved independent children are welcome in the venue. To help plan for whether to bring children to this event, as a participant in this event, you will be actively involved in discussion and planning.
The March trilogy is our non-fiction title of our Spring Book Club. And, it's also Pierce County Reads choice for 2018.
We'll be sidling up bar side at Farrelli's by PLU at 5PM and then heading over to the first come, first seated event at PLU to hear the authors talk about their work. The author event starts at 7PM.
Join us for Round Two of Coffee & Commitments. This time with beer. If you couldn't make the February 10th meeting, join TU Directors at Edison Ale House from 5-7PM.
Now's the time to write that blog post, draft an elevator speech, or take the next step.
This event is for members or members' friends. Join us for our third annual Holiday Cheer party. It's a great time to hang out with fellow educators and destress before our final push of December.
We'll have cookie decorating for little kids and a cookie exchange for adults. Look to our newsletter and Facebook for more details.
Our Fall Fiction book club choice is The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. We're looking forward to talk about our take on the book and how we see this young adult book working into our role as educators. Come and share a love of reading!
Don't forget to support our local indie bookstore, King's Books, to secure a copy!
Welcome back to the new school year!
Come connect with others in the network and hear about TU fall events.
Bring a story to share, or new idea/strategy that you're implementing this fall! Friends and potential TU members welcome!
